Year of Building
This year is the year of “building.”
We have two major projects on the go. The first, to restore St Peter’s Church. The other to build a Christian pre-school on-site.
Nine hundred years ago, Saint Francis of Assisi was praying when a voice spoke to him from the cross; “Rebuild my Church.” He was in a little chapel that was run down, so he set to and fixed the building. But the more he reflected on the words from the cross, “Rebuild my Church”, the more he came to realise that rebuilding is as much about spiritual renewal. So he spent his life calling us back to the way of the Gospel. In building, we seek to renew our faithfulness to the Gospel, not just erecting bricks and stones.
